3 Steps to Reading Results

We use a 3-part model, which includes the new Fast ForWord exercises and the new Reading Assistant!

PREPARE: Fast ForWord prepares the foundation for reading by finding and targeting hidden culprits for slow reading progress (Memory, Attention, Phonological processing speed – MAPs).

 

PRACTICE: Fast ForWord provides your child with personalized, intensive practice on a wide range of language and reading skills - more than any other approach or intervention. This intensive practice is the key to fast results.

 

REINFORCE: As your child reads aloud, the Reading Assistant program listens and provides corrective reading feedback. This real-world reading reinforces newly learned skills and rapidly builds fluency and comprehension.

How It Works when working with a Fast ForWord Provider

 

With the help of a Fast ForWord Provider, your child can access Fast ForWord online, from the comfort of your home for a minimum of 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week.  

 

They will help you by:

 

  • Starting your child at the level that’s just right for him or her

  • Offering a range of supportive services customized to meet you and your child's goals

  • Explaining the exercises – why are we doing certain activities? What are we working on?

  • Answering any questions you may have

  • Monitoring progress remotely

  • Reporting back on gains your child has made

  • Helping to come up with creative ways to motivate your child if they get stuck
